The Barrier
Between You
and The Elements.
Rain Shadow is geographically specific to the Cascades, a phenomenon where the mountains force moisture from the air, creating a dry zone on the leeward side.
Our gear replicates this function. Heavyweight waxed canvas acts as the mountain, you and your valuables reside in the shadow.

In the Pacific Northwest, the Olympic Mountains strip the moisture from the incoming ocean air. The leeward side sits in the "rain shadow"—a dry, protected zone amidst a wet world.
We believe your gear should perform the same function. We do not use technical gore-tex or plastics that degrade in a decade. We use waxed canvas.
Rain Shadow materials are sourced locally, can be reproofed indefinitely and are intended to be the last one you ever buy.
Design Language
- Monochrome First: If it doesn't look good in soot, it won't look good in color.
- Geometric Utility: Form follows the function of water shedding.
- Silence: No velcro. No noisy synthetics. Just brass and cotton.
